USMC M1 Helmet with Cover
In all the years Ive collected, this is the first USMC helmet I have found. Came with some Japanese items, dog tags, paperwork, ammo pouch.

I think you have just hit the jackpot, USMC holy grail. It certainly has the been there look. Try to research the veteran as much as possible to maximise historical and monetary value.
Oh yeah, and dont clean it!

Hi,
Here is one of my used ones, which the Marine made a lot of stitching repairs to - Frankenstein style.
They were issued brown and green thread to make repairs to camo covers and uniforms.
Two covers shown below are great!

Thanks. I did find out the Vet's name....Arthur F. McMillan he was a Marine in the Pacific from April 1942 to Oct. 1944
Thats all the info I could get. I hope he did not get killed on duty. Any more info would be most appreciated.

I can't help it I have to comment again Cowboy. That is just a ripper helmet and cover with history. Makes me forget about German helmets.....

I agree. Id take this one over many German helmets any day.
