Default Luftwaffe Radio

I got turned on to a radio locally.
Here are some lousy pictures of it.
I am presuming that although it is Luftwaffe property, that it is more in the nature of a radio to listen to, correct??
The guy wants me to make an offer.
Can anyone ballpark me a price?
Here's a thread from 2007, showing them going for $150 to $450. Does that still apply??

Thanx,
Tim

I've got two I bought about ten years ago or so......Both were ebay sales and I paid around $500 each, which I'm guessing was the high end at that time.....Neither of mine are as complete as the one you're posting......I don't see them listed on the internet very often any more, but sellers were asking some pretty crazy money....Cannot say however what they were selling for....I would guess $450 would be a fair price.......Bodes

These radios were made by Siemens, who made flight helmets and audio equipment....I believe they were used by the soldiers for listening to music and news from cities all over Europe....Bodes

Entertainment radio. Prices varies, and depends on where in the world you are or where it is !

This may be an apocryphal story, but I was once told that the factory had been overrun ( Berlin ? ) and that's why there are some around in mint-ish condition.
Back in the bad old days, some reenactors even emptied out the radio cabinets so
they could install cassette players. Hurray for reenacting, they do important work!
BTW, I would be interested to hear if yours, or anyone's K-32 has a white corrosion showing up around the tuning capacitor.

If I get another opportunity to do a 'hands on', I'll let you know.

The photos are not clear, these radios are been restored now with new eagles applied. Usually offered on ebay. With new eagles I have seen on 200-250 euro.

regards
Mike
