Default Polizei Windbluse

Hi,

i´ve got this unworn Windbluse from the Polizei in a set of policeuniforms.
I showed it in MFF and one member got me two links to threads here at WAF.

The Windblusen shown here where from war period, mine is pre-war.
I think the buttons are original, but the other ones have the normal shiny silver buttons?
These jackets seem to be a little rare, what are they worth?

Greetings,
Manuel

Default police jacket

You are correct. A classic case of scarce, but not in demand. I have one and if I were to sell it, the maximum I would expect would be 400-600 usd on a great day.

A common practice to replace the original buttons for these to "civilianize" the Jacke for postwar wear. I have one with the standard shiny pebbled aluminum buttons and I agree with Tony on the pricing range.

I agree, my period example and others I have seen have the pebbled aluminum buttons. Also the example posted has an added inner pocket perhaps an alteration by the original user or postwar along with button replacement. I also agree on the price range and comments. I do like those Po acceptance markings, very nice!

Thanks for your answers.
I have perfectly fitting aluminum buttons from 1936, so the buttons are no problem
