Default Some new additions. True U-Begleitschiff Sarr

Well, in my previous post, I credited a shield wappen to the Tender Saar. That was not the Saar's crest. I am researching to see what unit it belonged to.

This is a Saar crest I just picked up.

JustinG

I was also successful with obtaining the Graf Spee.

So with exception to the Luetzow, I have the Panzerschiff Wappen.

Thanks for looking.

Default Wiking Modells

As the Wiking Modell has been mentioned here, I wonder if anyone can confirm that the models in the photo in my link below is from these series?
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...8/IMG_0244.jpg

I assume they are from this firm: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiking_Modellbau

The models (photo shows just a few of the models) are supposed to have been used by the germans in Bodø (North Norway), where Luftwaffe had a HQ and a major airfield.

Any info on these models and how they were used for military purpose would be most appreciated - also info of other sources for information (books etc).

An impressive grouping you have there Leroy.
Quite a nice set. You and JohnR are the only ones I have seen that have documents and groupings from the Kreuzer Prinz Eugen including her commissioned status as the USS Prinz Eugen.
Very nice.
I would love to see the reverse side of your shield. What is the material?

I am indeed green with envy.

Cheers,
JustinG

Default Kreuzer Prinz Eugen Wappen

Here is one I was fortunate enough to find. Kreuzer Prinz Eugen Schiffswappen.
Will go great with the two Mützenband I have. Thanks for looking. If an association member wants to upload this photo directly to WAF server, please do. I personally hate seeing postings that have been lost to time with no images. Thanks!
Thanks for looking.

Regards,
JustinG

Default Schiffswappen Admiral Boehm

Hi,

I was the lucky bidder on those, from the estate of Generaladmiral Hermann Boehm.

The two big ones are gift from his subordinate staff.
Hope you like them.

Regards
Christian
