Default KM Sextant

Could I get opinions on originality of the sextant and transit box.

William,

This sextant was discussed in this Thread: http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...sextant&page=2

I think the general consensus was that it is identical to an original C. Plath, but missing the C. Plath maker's info below the serial number and "Eagle M", and the ID plate on the box was slightly different than a similar example in a near serial range.

My personal feeling is that it is original WW2 production.

Just an observation. All the screw heads on this unmarked sextant are black instead of the silver colour seen on Plath marked sextants that I've seen posted. I have no idea if that's significant but perhaps something for consideration?
