Default KaneKage? Type 3

Guys, another Type 3, dated August 1944. First opinion says the smith is "KaneKage".
On the other post, I mentioned a stamp that I couldn't make out -- this is the one, not the other.

Second opinion to verify? thanks in advance!

Confirm!

兼影
Kanekage

Though unclear, the "footprint" of the stamp looks similar to the Seki stamp:

[関]
[Seki]

Thanks Guy, I couldn't find that name in the Japanese Sword Index of Showa Smiths, so I appreciate the confirmation.

I don't know how all of us are going to show you our appreciation for all you've done for us, but we need to come up with something!

Fellers,

I appreciate the kudos ..... that's all I need. I get a lot of enjoyment (and a little frustration at times) researching the names, etc.

Cheers!

Real shame Guy is not life time member yet, it would be well deserved after so many years translating for all of us, sharing cool storys and bringing lots of items back to life.

At least we should rename the Japanese sub forum in Guy's Japanese Militaria Forum.

Guy > Your modesty honors you. Even if it's not the purpose of the topic, I thank you again for your precious help.

Cheers all,
Mat.

I've sent an email to the website CONTACT person asking about it, but haven't gotten an answer yet.
