I agree, by the pics paint job and patina appear not period

Unfortunately they confirm paint job is post war made and improved by an artificial patina.

IMO this buckle is a repainted fake, reverse buckle pics would help

Officer tropical buckle come from the John Wahl collection, it would surprise me that it is fake ......
About my buckle, i'm going to take him to Ciney, as for my Glockenspiel eagle which was discussed as fake on WAF, and who presented to Kassel, turned out to be from the 1930's

Agree with colleagues that the aforementioned enlisted and Officer buckle are not era painted buckles but post war painted - looks to be a 2010-ish
