Default Luftwaffe tunic

Hey guys,

Just wanted to show a tunic i bought at a show a few weeks back. Im a little worried i have messed up a bit since looking at other examples of tunics similar to this is that there is a strap on the inside whilst mine doesnt have one. I have seen only one similar tunic design but that was for a very high ranking officer from this forum. I hope people can help me and i thank you all for the help. Id rather have honesty about my tunic.

Thanks in advance.

Total repro I'm afraid, and not a good one. Can you get a refund?

Although this tunic is indeed an early BW, the original tunics have not necessarily a strap for the dagger inside.

Unfortunately, i must agree. This as postwar tunic. Nothing good here.

First, some proofs (if the owners of these tunics don't mind) :

Now, the theory :

You will often see the lack of a dagger hanger on low rank tunics, below oberfeldwebel or hauptfeldwebel despite there are exceptions... That makes me think that the dagger hanger (and so the slit behind the left hip pocket flap), the internal belts, the internal pockets and maybe the vent at the low back (some tunics lack it, too) are nothing else than options that only officers could pay.
If somebody can bring a proof that counter my theory, I would be pleased to change my mind.

If you looks at closely period portraits, many of EM/NCO's wearing an officer quality tunic wear their dagger hanging externally on the belt...
