Default Luftwaffe Luftgau XI Flak Victory Pennant

Hi
I recently purchased this Luftwaffe Luftgau XI Flak Victory Pennant from the son of a Royal Artillery officer, who brought it back from Germany. Given its rarity and value, I would appreciate the forum's opinion. Thanks
Regards
John

Hi.
Some close ups. My camera makes an image that is to large to upload, so am having to photogragh from further away and crop to fit.

Thanks for the comment and photos of another example. As far as I can find out, they were produced for a very short time (stopped in 1941) by Luftgau XI (Hannover area), when air raids on Germany were a rarity. I did find evidence of an RAF raid with Wellingtons, but it was 1 or 2 days earlier than the date shown on the pennant. This could be due to when the award was put in for, rather than when the plane was shot down. Hopefully others will have more information
