Default Homemade Polish army cap badge

Hi Guys,

I have this badge on the way which comes with 2 original German war badges from an estate.

It appears to be hand hammered from steel. Would this be a badge made during the Warsaw uprising? If so would anyone know the value of such a thing as it is pretty unusual.

many thanks for any thoughts

Patrick

If your Eagle came from untouched, noncontaminated veteran estate then it is probably original. Provenance is important here. Without it, such an eagle would be hard to proof, unless other similar examples exist that are known to be from reliable sources. It is very easy to cut an eagle like that from an old can, so you either need a solid provenance or other examples to compare.
I attached a picture of similar eagle form Warsaw Uprising that was found in large numbers and is recognized as an original among collectors.
