Primarily Soviet Union items, but when I come across anything that seems interesting from GDR, Hungaria, Romania, Bulgaria or North Korea... no problem to buy

I have in these days started to build a small axis collection; Germany and Finland.

You might have better luck if you post your "wish list" on the "Wanted Bulletin Board". http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...splay.php?f=37

I collect Polish, but very early types - those produced between 1943 and 1952, before the country changed it's name to "people's" republic. Many of the decorations were awarded still during WW2 and were produced in the Soviet Union for the Polish communist government. Some of them are of very fine quality, made in solid Russian gold and silver. If anyone has similar interests, please let me know.

As far as Communist-Bloc militaria goes, I pretty much limit my focus to USSR, and in particular, WWII, Afghanistan, and naval infantry.
I used to have a complete DDR field uniform, but I gave it to my ex-brother in law, who collects Eastern European militaria.
However, when it comes to firearms, I am interested in all Warsaw Pact/Eastern European. Currently, I have a Russian SKS (1955, unfired and in mint condition) and Polish and Romanian AKs. I would like to add a Yugoslav SKS, and if possible, a couple more AKs (epsecially a Hungarian AMD-65) to my collection, as well as a Mosin-Nagant and perhaps someday, a PPSh-41.

I collect East German. Although a I have a few TR items, the cost of DDR stuff is much lower, so I can have German uniforms and gear without the huge cost. I have started to build up a collection of DDR helmets as well!

The mass of my collection seems to be communist bloc actually. I collect Soviet uniforms from the afghan war and Afghan communist army uniforms.I managed to find two shirts, a pair of pants and a cap from a russian friend who was an advisor in Kabul in the late 1980's.These afghan uniforms are...and I hate using the word....truely rare.I am very happy to have them.

My main focus though is Cambodian communist uniforms from the Puppet regime that the Vietnamese set up after they "defeated" the khmer rouge in 1979.Its a real shame that Cambodia wasnt on that list...that stuff is much rarer than German stuff.

Communist stuff is awesome

I just realized that there are many commie countries missing from this list haha. Peoples Republic of Kampuchea, Democratic Republic of Laos, South Yemen, People’s Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, People’s Socialist Republic of Albania, People’s Republic of Angola….not to mention the only country that was ever REALLY communist…Democratic Kampuchea.

Holy cow, I don’t think I’ve ever used the words “Demoratic” and “Republic” this many times in a single sentence

Just thought I would throw that out there; not all communist countries were European you know
