Default Camo helmet on E stand

Interesting lid, however very likely a postwar French/Belgian Painted Helmet for soldiers or tourists.

Crazy price as well. I agree it was not likely to be a WWI era camo job.

Nothing wrong with the camo or the price. Anyway, it's found a new home.

The colours are all wrong as are the dividing lines.

These where painted by French and Belgian peddlers immediately after WW1 and into the 1920’s for Soldiers to take home and for battlefield tourists.

There are actually collectors for these, an interesting helmet just not actually wartime Painted.

Worth around $500 to one of these collectors.

Definitely not WW1 German colors. Thanks for the info on where this one came from.
