Default transport of fuel

hello Stefane,
do you have any pictures or info avaible about types of transport of kraftstoff (trainwagons-trucks-trailers-)coz wehrmachtused special trailers that could carry 2-300 liter barels iknow you are writing book about kanisters maybe interesting for second volume
there have been used a varity of opel blitz trucks and ford trucks for this job
who also used for the supply of the kraftstoff differend items in aluminium made by OBU , different models and sizes of allweiler pumpe and other stuff
kind regards
phil

Hi Friends Collectors.

Phil, I touched those topics on the book, but I miss too much informations for a second volume, sorry...

I know what :

- The aluminium DBU accessories are more from the Luftwaffe gazoline equipments.

- The Schwelmer Eisenwerk Müller, the manufacturer at the genesys of the Wehrmacht Kanister, builded the tankers for those trailers and truck :

The highspeed refuling device "Notschnelltanker" :

http://www.kfzderwehrmacht.de/Homepa...tanker_a2.html

This aircraft fuel tank trailer :

http://www.kfzderwehrmacht.de/Homepa...-anhanger.html

The Mercedes LG3000 aircraft fuel tank motor :

http://www.kfzderwehrmacht.de/Homepa...4_fb_k_kw.html

I haven't got more informations about the trailers with one and two 200 liters drums show in the book.

It's difficult to date the various models of Allweiller Handpumpe.

Write a book is a long process, two years of research for this, so I prefer make updates what follow his summary now, to complete it with our new discovers

Regards from France.
Stephane.

hello Stephane,
must be interesting your books the thing was that i never had a look to your books earlier on maybe i better buy
schwelmer brought out a book in 1939 called
behelfstankwagen
(forlaufige beschreibung bedienungsforschrift, und anleitung zur ZELBSTANDIGE anfertigung eines behelfstankwagen)
dated 1939
it was used to make only for 2 models
opel blitz 3t
ford 3t
alist is also provited for the items you needed
it was for 8 drums of 300 liter
all the connections are DBU it was used to refuel planes
allweiler pumpe / diferent models it starts with number 0 but as far as i know 7 was also there coz on those behelfstankwagen it was indicated to instal a no 7 allweiler pumpe
there is a cataloge from allweiler products that exists
schwelmer must have a huge archieve
kind regards
phil

Hi Friends Collectors.

Phil, I think the 1939 book from the Schwelmer Eisenwerk Müller is about the truck on the left on this picture show the Notschnelltanker :

It come from this link :

http://www.kfzderwehrmacht.de/Homepage_english/Trailers/Two-axle_trailers/Notschnelltanker_A2/notschnelltanker_a2.html

Do you have got this book or some extract ?

Regards from France.

War DAK RAL Number for Jerrycan

I'm having 6 Jerrycans sandblasted and repainted for our film The Site..

https://www.facebook.com/TheSiteMovie/

However, I'm not quite sure about the RAL number for the color of DAK jerrycans... does anyone know the correct color? I had the first can in the bottom image sandblasted and powder coated RAL1001 .. it's way off. The can in the middle I think is Dunkelgelb 7028.. the 1944 version which is not correct for Africa either.

This page shows that BRAUN RAL 8020 or GRAU RAL 7027 might be correct.

Thanks for the help!

Will those updates be available in a reprint of the book?
