The MP44 magazines are great - one can never have enough.

But the Fg42 magazinkasten they are resting on is more interesting to me.
I have one, but where did your one come from?

They are tricky to find, but show up more than individual FG42 magazines - which is odd as they would have been full of magazines at one time.

Bought it from Herman historical with no history. Probably holds 130 mp44 magazines perfectly which means I need another one.

Nice collection! With the short mag, can you remove the baseplate or is it permanently attached. I have one and it cant be removed. Is it 10 rounds?
