Great POW group photo. It is interesting to see cords on the LW Assualt Gun wrap's shoulder boards.

I thought they were the first thing to get 'liberated'?

yes good observation.

well it depended on the nationality of the troops who captured you and also how far into the war it was that a german soldier was captured.

just from looking at this thread it would appear that commonwealth countries were the most lenient when it came to German awards in wear/possession.
