Default Ordensspangen with Hungarian medals?

Did anyone ever encounter WW2 medal bars with Hungarian medals?

I am not talking about German WW1 medal bars (EK2 1914) with WW1 Hungarian and a Third Reich KVK2 or Ostmedaille added, about "new" Third Reich medal bars with EK2 1939 and WW2 Hungarian medals.

I encounter medal bars with EK2 1939 and Spanish (Medalla de la Campaña, Cruz del Mérito Militar), Italian (Afrika-Medaille, Croce al Merito di Guerra), Romanian (Orden der Krone, Kreuzzug fegen den Kommunismus) and Bulgarian (Militär-Verdienstorden, Orden für Verdienst) medals, but never a Hungarian WW2 medal or order.

Am I wrong?

Any explanation. Weren't the Hungarian medals awarded to foreigners as all the other Axis allies did?

I have never seen EK2 with Hungarian ww2 medal - maybe even rarer as with Croatian.

Hungarian Awards were certainly given to Germans. For example, pre-WW2 there were a number of Hungarian Merit Orders given. During WW2 too the same Order, usually with swords.

They do not pop up often on bars, but there are certainly examples out there.
Here are some examples I have saved over the years.

Kind regards,
Pierce

Hi Pierce and Priedl,

The examples you show all seem to be medal bars started before 1 September 1939 as they show an EK2 1914.

As I said in my opening post those medal bars with EK2 1914 and Hungarian medals are common. During WW1 Hungary was still part of the Dual Monarchy Austria-Hungary and allied with the German Second Empire.

What I have never seen yet is a WW2 Third Reich medal bar started after 1 September 1939 with EK2 1939 and Hungarian awards.

Dirk

I'm afraid it's not in my collection, but it certainly is a very nice bar.

Kind regards,
Pierce

Not an EK2 bar but with KVK2, with Hungarian bravery medal, and Croatian medal of the crown of King Zvonimir.

Thanks, hopefully some day such a medal bar with EK2 1939 crosses my path.
