Default Two treasures found! Patronenkasten 34.

These were sitting on my shelf for some 10 maybe 15 years. I bought them cheap. Boxes were dirty, with some details missing. I did not have the knowledge that I have now. I have spotted some yellow paint but I thought it was all yellow and again repainted to dark green. Couple of days ago I started to clean it and I found out that one box is with 1939 brown camo. I love it since I am strongly interested in items that might take part in september campaign in Poland, in 1939. Second box is E-tin and it has tri colour camouflage. There are visible spots with green and brown paint. Dominating is yellow. Do You think that brown camo is factory made? There are rather small areas of it. Anyway I am very happy with them.

Nice cans and I can pick up on the tricolour cam underneath under the over paint,

Have to confess, on the 39 dated can I cant really see any brown but that could just be rendition on the picture, I am only getting field grey and red primer
underneath on my PC.

Regards

Tim

This chocolate brown colour is the strongest on short sides. I forgot to add pictures.

Thanks to Bergflak and his fantastic web site I made another discovery! I think that markings Z 42 on my Patronenkasten indicate that it is Z kasten for MG42! Box is marked with large Z on top! Hardly visible but it is there. It contained some spare accessories for MG42. Would love to hear Your opinions Gentlemen. Maybe somebody has Z marked Patronenkasten?
