Hi Winfried,

Nice original of a very uncommon PB, with great patina and worn look with recipient inscription on the reverse. Very nice

Gorgeous patinated Deutschbein pilot.
Not the best design but very rare.
Alfred Gutjahr… might be researchable!

A fine original. The rarest maker of Pilot badges IMO. I know of only a handful of these. It was not too many years ago that these were thought to be fake.

I don´t think so that is a Ground dug, it comes with the this case, from my point of view it match with the badge.

I don’t think ground dug, just heavily worn.

I mentionned Ground dug as the reddish color of the brass oftenly turn this color when in ground for some times but these have the same low grade finish that BSW used and they turn bad when the storage was not appopriate.

Very nice case but not a match with Deutschbein. These are very hard to find raise base for the type 1 BSW. They have been wrongly paired over the time together. All surviving grouping including mine that I have seen and handle camewith the early brick pattern case with these. Beeing said keep it for later. It took me years to find my two examples.
