Here's my sole 8th AF with very smart lining. No signs of tailor or name labels.

This is a great thread. Great items shown by all so far. Once I am back in country at the end of the year, I look forward to adding my pieces to it.

Lee,

Great B13, especially the bullion patch. I didn't realise that they had such a brief issue period.

Here's mine with short-wing patch.

Beautiful scarlet lining in that Ike, Mr. Swan!
Looks typical of a British made piece (scarce, but I’ve only seen such linings in British tailored garments).
I would love to add some of my items to this great thread, if only I could make sense of the convoluted method of uploading photos!
All the very best to all,
Bob

I'm sure that many of you are familiar with this book, but just in case there are some who are not...

"One Last Look: A Sentimental Journey to the Eighth Air Force Heavy Bomber Bases Of World War II In England".

The book was published in 1983. Hardcover, 216 pages, filled with period black and white and color photographs of the 8th Air Force in England during the war, as well as with dozens of color photos of what the remains of the 8th Air Force fields looked like at that time.

This is an old photo, but it's my only 8 AF tunic. The patch is bullion on velvet (or velvet-like material), and the wings are bullion on OD green gabardine.
