War Luft ring value?

May post this up on the e-stand tomorrow...

Ring with "1940", front is somewhat worn down, there is a stamp on the reverse though it is hard to read. It's hard to get good photos of these rings...

Looks like one piece of silver as far as I can tell vs. the welded on "set in" pieces.

I believer the stamp on the reverse says "830 S JJ" which I think means that it is 0.830 pure silver, but I'm not sure what the "JJ" under the nubmers mean.

Think I paid $250 back in the day for this thing, but I'll probably take offers, it doesn't fit my finger so it's not a 100% keeper in my mind.

So you mean it is cast as a single piece?

Got it from WA like 12 years ago.

Anyone know if it is worth around $200-$250?

On the original rings the plate is soldered. This is a bad ring. Its price is not more than $ 50

I don't completely believe you. I've had it looked at by an expert, and it was from WA. Maybe you're right, but I still love this piece. Danke.

I am not convinced by the photos (more/detailed needed) that this is a reproduction. It could very well be a good piece imho.

I would like to hear his opinion here. I have a large collection of Norwegian rings. And I know how the originals look.

I cannot see the details from the pictures. Can the owner confirm that this is a solid single piece or that the plate is soldered on? I’m not sure from the comments that he has either agreed that the soldered 2 piece is the original or that this one is indeed one piece and therefore likely cast from an original. Better pictures would tell the true tale, as commented- looks possible to be good from the pics shown—-. But in the absence of such better pics or confirmation of construction- I would tend to have to agree with michael33 that this is then likely a bad ring, if it is in fact one piece construction. Pictures please!
