and now the M.41 jump smock modified on 1942: (courtesy IWM)

There are basically two colours overprinted on the light grey-green background,
very different from the drawing of the M.29 camo cloth.
During the RSI period, all the camo and grey para jump smocks were
used if available, but a lot of them have been made with the not perspirable cloth used on the
camo shelter halves M.29.These were not suited for combat purposes, in fact you can imagine
what a sweat while fighting and runnig!Generally three colours on a reddish background.

Hello Marpo, please can you send me more information about your pic 5 (Special MAB 38A Cover with built-in magazin`pouches). Detail photos from rear and front side. Are the pouches fix on the cover? Thanks for your answer with the information.

Best regards, Dieter from germany

Default old grunt here

What a pleasure finding this discussion! I jumped with the Folgore at Pisa in 1981 & found "the Truth" about El Alamien... few if any Americans know of this facet of the battle. I jumped with the Alpini as well & did a couple winter expeditions with them, have the hat to prove it. After 27x years infantry & a few wars... my old "Class A" uniform has my CIB [the most important in the US Army], but it also has my Italian jump wings [miniature ones the size of US ones] and my "unit affiliation" badge of the paracadutist alpini at Cortinna d'Ampezzo!

cannot figure out the posting of photos... no http...

Thanks for service 👏 the reason you canít post photos is you need to be a paying member 35 bucks a year. Third party hosting is either disabled or frowned on .

If your not a collector and a casual member and donít want to spend the dough .
You can pm me and Iíll give you my email address and I can post the photos for you.
