Nice Soldbuch David.

Interesting to note that the veteran filled out his status as POW and when he was "dismissed" on the first page, with some other POW information. Same with the date on the Besitsnachweise page.

i like the entries of NKS detaled days
why FJ doesnt say it "Nahkampftage", but they are actual Close combat days.

Good question. Could have meant "FG 42", and since I am not familiar with their serial number ranges, I am not sure if the 4-digit serial number might be a clue.

Great Soldbuch, especially with the detailed close combat days recorded and the Normandy EK2 entry!

I´ve got a very similiar Soldbuch from a member of Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 13, EK2 for Normandy (plus citation) as well and close combat days around the area northwest of St. Lô ("Les champs de Losque").

First, congratulations on this excellent Soldbuch - as said before, the close combat day list is superb!

I think the abbreviation stands for: S.F. G43, meaning Schnell-Feuer-Gewehr 43 = G43

.
