Default 2 Polizei M43 caps

These are en route to me. I paid a dealer wholesale price ($450 each delivered)
Very happy!
The black backed POL cap insignia is more often seen on Polizei side caps which is interesting!

This one has the silk lining material covering the inside of the bill even!

This one has buttons commonly found on POL tunics and pants...
It does show a full maker name and location, not an RBNr...
These were already being issued in 1942 btw...

"M36" pants had a Waffenfarbe piping on the sides., this being phased out in August 1942 on pants issued to field units, so "M42" would be appropriate. Are yours date stamped?

Interesting the way the earflaps are closed the wrong way round.

Nice image. Looks like a bergmutze with short bill,
high crown and all metal insignia...
(but no edelweiss...)

If you refer to the earflaps buttoning the other way round, this unusual closure may be observed on a few Army and WSS billed caps as well. I don't think this feature's peculiar to women's headgear.
