Your very clear photographs should be a real help to new collectors looking to buy a genuine helmet. (Nice example of a steel PRYM 4 snap )

Could be - my impression was France, be interesting to know. Either way seems to have been camo'd up and then hardly exposed to much use ... perhaps the owner went into captivity very soon after the camo, or was at local Command.
