Been offered this one looks similar to the one in first post
but this one looks un issued opinions please.

These natural color lanyards can be found in every untouched pair of Luftwaffe channel trousers. And are the ones which are the most commonly encountered. Generally 2 in each pair, and few seem to have been used. Calling "aircrew" knives and lanyards "Fallschirmjäger" is not really accurate.

Thanks Willi for the information which type would typically suit a FJ knife
are there any known examples used in the Kreta invasion.
