Hi,

Some more photos that arrived in the post recently.

First one (bought off Estand) shows a 1939 Kreissieger badge in wear. He also is wearing a black arm band for some reason.

Cheers,

Larry

Next two showing a Gebirgsjager officer, bride to be and witnesses at a Civil Registry Office.

Is she holding a copy of the Bible or maybe a copy of Mein Kampf?

Cheers,

Larry

Larry,

Great photo! That's definitely the "wedding" Mein Kampf in its dark cardboard slipcase.

Best,
Greg

Default Wedding Mein Kampf

Hi,

I have one of those Wedding Mein Kampf's in my collection. The book was printed in 1941 and the wedding took place in I believe July of 1942. Very interesting to see a copy of it in a photo.

Thanks Guys.

The GJ officer has amassed quite a few medals in the 3 years since the war started.

It is a pity that he may have moved as the photo was taken.

He is wearing 3 crossed swords medals, KVK in bronze and silver, what would the other be. Also what is the the round medal extreme right on his medal bar.

Cheers,

Larry

Default Lemm

Fellow collectors,

I would like to share another picture showing bride and groom.
This one shows KC holder Heinz-Georg Lemm.

regards
Peter

Hallo!

Yes, he died 2002. He was 123 Infanterie Regiment (50 Inv.Div.) Soldat and in the end of war he teached Unteroffiziere Anwarter in School Freiberg near Dresden. Another people on the picture were in the HJ and my grandfather was in TODT.

best regards !

P.S. Could anybody tell me how I can add the picture ?

Default Marta and Hans

I posted this photo in the translation needed thread as it has writing on the back. Still I thought I'd post it here too. The background looks fake to me. Like it's a studio prop. Any thoughts on whether the background is real or not?
