Could be good but there are far better examples out there. Not 100% sure of the markings. Insignia is real. Name tag is for a fireman. I would pass.

Thank you Erik, much appreciated. Can others chime in to help determine what we have here? Thanks in advance.

Does the machine stitching on the name tag go through the body of the cap (but not the flap)?

Paul,
Although not in front of me I believe it does not go through the body of the cap. I will make certain tomorrow. May I ask which way is it supposed to be?

Having a name tag in a cap is not so common, and if machine-stitched it would mean the lining was opened up to sew it if it doesn't go all the way through the cap. This would not make sense nor be a good sign IMO.

Thanks guy's really appreciate the help. I will have this in my hand again this weekend and will get better pics and double check the sewing of the tag. I have never owned too many police items but is the size and Rb numbers typical??

I wanted to get back to you guys who were kind enough to help with this cap. Here are finally some pics and the confirmation that the name tag is sewn through the cap.
