Is this all you have? I would think it Great War with a four digit number. Is this a name in an item by chance?

Hi,

He served with the 2nd Battalion Dorset Regiment (he had a second soldier number 0375) and was very likely involved in the Siege of Kut which is rather interesting. Unfortunately it appears his service records were amongst those destroyed by the Luftwaffe in WW2. I can send you his medal index card if you PM me your email address.

Thank you Des, according to the Great War service members of miscellaneous families sight he is listed as wounded at some point and then became a p.o.w. and also lists his home as St. Helier. I believe you are right as it's most likely he was involved in the siege of Kut. Thank you yes a medal card would be great

So actually you did have quite a bit more info on him! It would help if members post the WHOLE story when requesting help so we don't waste our time looking for stuff that you already know

what would really help if members would keep there rude comments to themselves, and after Djt kind help was i able to find the information posted! Keep in mind this is a community of help and support for all members and rude comments and assumptions should be kept to ones self.
