Strange Postal Dagger..

Default Strange Postal Dagger..

Hi all,

Seen this up for sale and it’s not your standard postal protection dagger whatsoever however the maker mark look ok I suppose.. not seen this fake before. What does everyone think?

Looks like a brass based fake. Font of lettering is incorrect, fittings oversized with screwheads that are also too large. Poor fitment between grip and crossguard. Missing chain hanger as well, waste of money I'd say.

I assume this is a dirk, and not a full size dagger, about the dimentions of a DLV dirk.
Is that correct ?
Can you show a overall image ?

Think it’s meant to be a full size jobby. Another one to add to the known fakes category 😀

A so-called Postschutz Subordinate dagger. A controversial topic to say the least, but I don't think this one looks like the few others I've seen.
