Default Tropical Panzer Strap

Hello,

I do not own any tropical straps as of yet. Is this a good one? All feedback appreciated!

Best,
Matt

Interesting how they managed to not get any paint on the piping, yet colored all outside the lines within the tresse. But Thanks for confirming it as an original piece.

Different with the painted tress but an original strap. Nice.

Have seen painted tresse on straps but not quite like this before.
Looks like the paint is on the tresse too, some around the edge and also on the piping at the right where the pip is located. Sloppy painting makes one wonder was someone trying to get it right ?

a few years back i bought a few single straps from a collector who didnt think the mouse grey tresse on his late war straps (European type) was correct so he painted the tress to match all his early ones but a soak in paint thinners and a wash in warm water sorted them out

Yes I am wondering if the tropical strap which started this thread is a similar case.

I can think of no reason why a German NCO with tropical tress on his shoulder boards would paint it silver during the war,

Chris
