Default Ccc RS for opinion

Hi guys,

Is this any good? The pics are all I have. The RS ccc are difficult to judge I think but I am skeptical on this example.

Advice welcome. Thank you.

Crimping style can be attributed to Souval, but this clasp looks to have been knocked about some. A bronze IMO. Still some bronze finish on the pin nearest the hinge assembly from where my eyes are squinting. Better pics of the front would help in a sale. Catchplate looks to have been removed at some point. The crimps seem to have lost some of their structural integrity. --Rgds, Ken

Your quite right Ken. I can see bits of bronze on the obverse.
I think its been well messed with.... would like to see it in hand, but I am not paying for the privilege.

Not one for my collection. The clasp is in pretty crappy shape and the bad photos are making it worse. The seller isn't trying very hard here.

Regards,
Frank

Hi Will,

I agree with the others, this one looks refinished. And you can see the backplate has some heavy black paint on it, quite different than the blueing used with original plates.
