Default German Submarine U-2540

Hello, yesterday I visited the museum boat "German Submarine U-2540", a Type XXI U-boat. The boat is located in the harbour of the city of Bremerhaven in Germany.

I was so impressed by the built-in technology and the size of this ship! And also the history of the ship after 1945.

Detailed information you can find here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German..._Wilhelm_Bauer

Regards, Matthias

Great photos, and nice to see the Germans actually preserving some of their history.

Thank you for these - I am amazed at how 'modern' its interior looks, more like 1960s than 1940s (I admit I am not a submariner!)
