Default Help needed Kreigsmarine AM17 sight in box

Hi there guys I bought this cased sight from a local auction last week and was wondering on firstly what it is & what is value of the piece as I can't seem to find much info on any sold recently also as the box, sight & mount have all different serial numbers would it be break it apart to sell on as its not my speciality thank you for viewing

Last one I have seen, was in that incredible find in a rooftop in Holland some years ago. (Indiana Jones optic style find)


Cased and navy marked, to boot.

Very nice item to find! Congratulations
It is an early version of fire control for artillery towards moving targets.

Used to evaluate and adjust the rounds fired... explained very basically.
The box also contained a stopwatch and calculation disc

hi there guys thank you for your quick responses as I stated optics arent my collecting field saw it while at the auction house and thought I'd bid on it I also won 10x80 flak binos at same auction just wondering as its not my thing what would you value this this set at ? as would probally move it onto to someone who collects optics and would you personally sell it as a set or would you sell it separately as no numbers match

I would certainly hope the set can stay as one, and that it will not be separated.
These were frequently used in pairs of two or three, historic pictures document this. Parts could have been mixed during service, as some parts might have broken.
