Bob...Thanks! Interesting in that he is wearing a silver IAB instead of the LWGAB in 1945

Possible transfer from the Army early in the war - perhaps a Weserübung jumper??

Also, his tunic looks to be cut more in the KM style than LW.

Bob...That is a possibility but it also appears that he is wearing the KM Schützenschnur which is dark blue in color unless I'm seeing things but it doesn't look like a LW Schützenschnur. So possible KM transfer instead of Army? I know that LW personnel who qualified and were awarded the Army IAB had to turn in and exchange their IAB for a LWGAB.

So I thought the same thing at first Bill regarding the Schnur, but the slide before the knot looks grey and it looks to me like there's flecking in the cordage. I don't see the LW plaquette which causes pause, but it's too hard to tell from the scanned pic. Nonetheless it's a dynamite pic and quite the enigma.

I didn't see the plaquette as well and the cord was unusually dark which led me to think it might be KM but I can only agree that it is a dynamite portrait.
