Default 1er bataillon de parachutistes laotiens

Hi

I have had this badge in a few years, now has thoughts about whether it might be a copy? It has some wear on the front and the patina on the back is weird. It is made of Drago and is labeled DRAGO PARIS NICE ...... 43R.OLIVIER METRA., Depose.
Is there anyone on this forum who can come up with their opinion on this badge.
Thank you in advance
Bjorn

The badge is a reproduction.

Go to this site which will show the real and the fake example. A fast way to determine if is good is to look at the back for the indentations of the wings feathers on the out side edge.

It is a difficult badge to find, and is not cheap!

Hi.
Thanks for your help D. Michael Kim, and the link to this informative page.
I know these are difficult to obtain and usually costs 350-450 euros when they are available for sale in Europe if you want one that is made in the early 1950 's.

Best Regards
Bjorn
