Default G62 M17 Ersatz strap

Recently bought this mainly as it has an interesting strap not as interesting as a carbine clip strap but still interesting. The strap is cut in the middle not sure if that's deliberate as it goes through the strap metal loop nicely Rob

Looks like a good cloth ersatz strap to me Rob. A very nice helmet, congrats.

I see a lot of G62's selling recently... two nice ones also sold last night as well.

Congratulations Rob, that's a rare chinstrap.

I'd seen this was another "buy-it-now" find on eBay, coming out of St Paul, MN. Congratulations on the great scoop!

Best Wishes,

Alan

LOL, Great posting, I Totally agree with you Rob. I do the same thing some times on fleabay with stuff I probably don't need another example of.

In all seriousness, If you ever do want to get rid of it, it would find a good home in my Iowa & Minnesota bring backs WW1 collection. I'll sincerely appreciate it if you give me a holler and a crack at it some day if you ever decide to move it with that chinstrap on it. And yes, I promise to leave the chinstrap on it, just as it was brought back to St Paul, Minnesota.

It would make a good brother to another G mfg'd helmet I have posted here, a splotch camo example: http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=989607
I can see where they would look real nice together!

All the Best,

Alan
