Default Propagandakompanie Schiffchen

I’m looking for some advice here.

For this schiffchen from the propagandakompanie

I did have a propagandakompanie visor a couple of years back.
But it was hard to say if it was a transport- or a propaganda visor.

So I returned it to Mr. H. Weitze, and he was kind enough to take it back!
As most of you know, it’s a safe to buy stuff from weitze.com!

This time I’m seeking feedback on their propaganda Schiffchen
(See pics at the site).

https://www.weitze.net/militaria/55/...e__295955.html

What do you think?

I don't think it is faded blue, but I have never seen a Propaganda soutache so I can't say for certain that it is the correct color. Seems a little dark on my monitor compared to the greys I have seen on PK visors.

This sidecap looks ok, considering avaible pics.

Just 2 points :

- The light gray color is usualy not so dark than the soutache of this sidecap :

- Light gray was officialy adopted for PK october 14 th, 1942.
Before this date, the lemmon yellow of transmissions was used, like IMO on this pic from ECPAD :

The manufacturing of sidecaps with soutache was stopped by an official order of july 1942, and another order from september 1942 confirmed that soutaches had to be removed from all sidecaps previously made.
So it is a bit odd that a sidecap would have the newly adopted branch soutache added or changed against those regulations, even for an officer.
That said, i have already seen many things done against regulations...
Just my 2 cents

The final answer to the soutache's color is only found by looking behind the turn-up where the soutache goes through.
