Default Fake visor cap?

Hi guys,
This one is being offered locally, I don't think its authentic at all but wanted to run it by those with better knowledge than me before I turn it down.

JHoll, see the large "A" stamp? That's done by the Bundeswehr when a piece of equipment is considered surplus and discarded.

Thank you! I didn't know what the A was but I knew it didn't look right for WWII. Looks like this guy got taken with more fakes than real stuff. What was real he overpaid for. I'm going to steer clear.

You will also OCCASIONALLY see the A stamp in reworked WW2 Luftwaffe...Billbert
