Default Italian Bag

Evening Gents ..picked up this interesting Italian army bag today that i first thought was/is a Borsa tactica bag !..i noticed it has a leather handle on the top (maybe added on ?) to aid use ..& inside when i picked it up was a MG34 ammo box !..the dealer said thats how it had come to him & it was also thought to be a German bag aswell !..Semovente

Well it seems from a bit of diggin.. that some one in the past has removed the carring strap off a Breda 30 ammo carrier pack !..& attatched it to a Borsa Tactica bag to use ..i presume from the MG34 ammo box found inside the bag !..as a makeshift ammo carrier !...

Yes, the strap comes from a Breda m.30 pack!

But why put the ammo box that already has a handle to carry it inside the bag?
Probably the bag with the attached strap was used to carry some loose material or equipment.

Yes it seems a bit strange & thought to be a German bag to start with rather than Italian !..unfortunatly there was no sling/strap for the other fixin points on the bags back ! But with the additional handle it was as you said for some sort of extra weight to be carried !?
..a mystery !...

Some marks on the ammo box !
