Chris, What I'm seeing with this image is the hat type of pin (that is different than the HJ knife type) holding the emblem in place. What is throwing me off a little is the somewhat less opaque (to X-Rays) rectangular piece behind the pins that is not seen in X-Rays of period HJ knives with grip plates/scales that are relatively transparent. A backing plate of some kind? So if you have other photos they might show what it is? Regards, FP

Aluminium rivets looks suspect & so does the way the diamond is attached !!

not one i would buy.
