Default Unusual Fallschirm-Division cuff title

Hi Guys,

This item looks perfect in every way except it has very unusual embroidery done by machine in silver wire. I owned a tunic removed FJR-1 cuff some years back done in the same way which was positively reviewed here and this is the only other one done in this fashion that I have seen.

I am wondering if perhaps a few like this were produced for NCO's?

Would appreciate your thoughts

Many thanks,

Patrick

I also don't like it.

Both officer and NCO cufftitles had braid on the borders.

It's the tapes that were sold at the veteran meetings.

Interesting, and makes sense. As compared to reproductions, which are intended to be sold as originals (or perhaps worn by re-enactors) and generally more closely resemble originals, ones made for FJ veteran groups were not 100% accurate in style/ features.

Default A Tiny Bit Off Topic ...

Does anyone know of someone who makes “novelty” cuff titles?
I was in the 101st Airborne Division and would like something like
“Fallschirm-Division 101” or “101 Airborne Division” ... of course on a green band in Frakturschrift.

There used to be a company in the USA, but I think they went out of business.

Thanks for your indulgence,

— Guy
