Default MG42 Gunner, Ambust at Poteau Version 2.0

Fellow collectors,

I finished this one in January/February, a 2.0 version of the famous MG42 gunner at Poteau for an american collector.

I hope you like it.

Jaime.

I absolutely love this. Very nice work. Tell me more about the trousers and poncho he is wearing. Are they captured items from a U.S. GI?

Default Astounding!!

I have just admired your work on this site and it is truly amazing. I had the hardest time convincing my wife that the figures are models and not just real people dressed up. Extraordinary.

Regards
John

Great work Jaime

To be perfect you should change the ammo bet, it's not a german pattern one

Many many thanks for your kind words, I really appreciate it.

I took as reference the artwork from Ron Volstad for DML, wearing some captured US outfits.

But the latest news are he was wearing a standard camo smock in a very uncommon way and some kind of overtrousers.

This information was started by Taesung Harmms (Alpine Miniatures), and largerly discussed on Facebook, Ron Volstad and Stephen Andrew also contributed.

You can see the conclusions here, with the updated sketch by Ron Volstad

http://www.themodellingnews.com/2016...miniatures.htm

I hope that helps.

Jaime.
