Appointment as Oberstleutnant, signed by Bundespräsident Theodor Heuss on 29.06.1956.

Also, below, is the signature of Theodor Blank, member of the German Bundestag and head of the "Amt Blank" (in charge of the re-establishment of the German armed forces).

The field-post number correspond to the Inf. Regiment 513

From the estate of Hans Guhr (photo taken by his son, Michael)

At least 4 of the places mentioned match very well with the actions of 294. Inf.Div: Montargis - Niska Banja - Gussatschewka - Russkije Tischki

The mystery remains about the symbol in the middle (looks like the 122. Infanterie-Division "Greif" but in reverse )

2 sets of photos:

a) two photos taken a few months after the award ceremony. Private studio pictures that were attached to the album.

b) the upper picture (in low quality) was taken on December 1942; interesting to see he wears the KC on the side.

Military maneuvers at Haigerloch (town in the north-western part of the Swabian Alb)

OTL i. G. Hans Guhr can be seen first on the left (upper photo) and in the middle with cap (lower photo).
