I have seen these k98 pouches with leather instead of D ring. I don't think they are WW2 myself, but none have any markings so I guess nobody can tell.

Sadly not marked but found in dusseldorf on fleemarket in ammocase with other german ww2 items. Late war ersatz mapcase from vinyl with leather parts, metal parts ar from zinc aloy.

amazing pieces!! i love the spade and the mapcase too-shame the mapcase isnt dated-so 45 is simply conjecture. educated conjecture, mind you. thanks gents for sharing!
