Default WA forum going down often

Been noticing the forum has been going down a lot lately. Hope everything's OK upstairs.

It's been worse, I think they migrated to a new server but it is still unreliable. I think the boss doesn't really want to invest in the WAF anymore so I think it is time to look for alternatives...

True! This is an astonishing resource!
It would be a terrible loss if it were to fail!

Indeed. We need another forum.
Any support here is next to nothing from the administrator side.

This site has a lot of members in different areas of collecting. I'm sure this conversation has been happening elsewhere as well. Also, most of us pay $35 per year for Association Membership. Hopefully Sebastian gets enough to cover web site expenses. He should also invest in a proper SSL certificate for the site, and get it security-reviewed. More important now than ever.

Default Facebook

There is a lot of information here that we can search for.
For many years back.
It's not the same with Facebook.
There I have the impression that the content disappears.

Do you have any Facebook groups you recommend Funksamler?

The "WWII German Field Comm. and Funkers" is the most active one on Facebook. Not a lot of exciting topics (it caters more to the reenactor community) but at least there are daily discussion.

I do try to support it, communities like this is where future collectors will come from. Also it is more fun following a lively forum which may lack some depth than a high quality forum that is almost dead....

Seems like things are getting more worse here...
Now i can't see any more the forum comm section topic list,
there's only search option and some recaptcha appears that
constantly demands that i verify that i'm not a robot - clicking
on pictures of cars, roads, roadsigns...I'm tired clicking...

They killed a perfectly good forum

And now forum direct link

http://wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/f...splay.php?f=83

takes to the private messages, not topic listing.

Stop playing with forum, admin!

Yes, I was directed to the private messages too, but now it seems back to normal. Never had the recaptcha issue, must be some sort of security setting...

Here is a thread in the collectors community section about the timeout problems so you are not alone: http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=954271
