Default Introducing my son to the hobby

Last week my oldest son followed my instructions and connected, turned on and tuned a Torn.E.b receiver for the first time. His response was of utter amazement, when this chunk of beautiful metal came to life and voices started coming from the speaker. He wants to fix and restore more radios.

You are very lucky Yuri,

my two sons (aged 20 and 25) look at their papa's strange hobby as a sort of
not dangerous mental illness hi!

regards

Andrea

Viewing this hobby as a mental illness is a healthy response ;-)

I've got two kids, 11 and 13. I show them any new item in my collection, so they start learning. Whenever I sell something, my elder will say "Don't, don't sell it!! Do you have another one?" "yes, I do. A nicer one" I reply. "OK, then, go ahead" he says back I hope they learn to keep my collection.

Hi Carles.

As I think weīve talked about it, my two daughters donīt understand this "illness" at all.

This morning I was talking with the younger one (13) showing a part of restoration proyect, and she asked me "why donīt sell it?". I answered her "why...? and she said to me "to get more money..." Is a lost battle.

I sometimes have a joke with both of them when one maintain a ligth discussion with me and I say "well, all the collection will be for your sister..." but the other sister always says "I donīt want your collection..." so I reply saying "Ok, my collection will go to the Signals Museum and they will have to open a new exhibition hall with my name, ahaaa..."

No Carles, donīt think in a donation for your foundation

Perhaps a grandchild will love it...?

Regards.

César.
