Default US Army ice skates?....Vietnam?

This is a set of military ice skates that I was told were used in Vietnam on the frozen Mejong river....These are dated 6/1966....The manufacture of the skate rails is "Olympiad".....are these real or fantasy?......Thanks

Ice Skating in Vietnam?
From the Holiday Weather Site:
The cool but mostly dry winter lasts from November to April when temperatures average 17-22°C with the coldest months being January - March.

Umm you could always remove the skates. The boots still have value on their own. If you wanted to open up your own "Rippley's believe it or not" you could do that too.

When I tell this to 2 Friends around the Corner, they'll ask me if it's a late April 1st Joke. For sure!
Both had several Tours in Vietnam.

It is entirely possible that there was an ice skating rink in one or two of the American bases in VN. My family was in Cubi Pt/Subic Bay RP in the 80's and I think they had an ice skating rink on the base (but I could be wrong, its been along time).
