Default KC and EK1 case

I acquired this case from a German auction some time ago. It's 5 1/8 by 5 1/8 inches with a somewhat domed lid. No UV glow. Overall quality construction. Inside of lid is lined with padded rayon. The lower portion is lined in black velvet and recessed to hold a Knights Cross with loop and an EK1. I placed an S&L KC and a EK1 from my collection that fit well. The black imitation leather covering looks to be of good quality. The interior is lined with a white border.

Would appreciate comments.

Hi!
You are right, this case looks very good and promising to be period but it's the very first time for me to see an item like this. Unfortunately early postwar cases are quality products too, so will be hard to tell without a doubt that it is indeed a period one.

Kind regards, Peter

Something to look at, is the wide of the ribbon inlay. Is it wide enough (45 mm) for a KC Ribbon?
