Default 16th Kompanie - Luftlande Sturm Regiment

Giday everyone,

I understand that Oberleutnant Hoefeld was the commander of the 16th Kompanie of the Luftlande Sturm Regiment at the time of the invasion of Crete.

Can someone please provide me with the names of the other officers of the company at the time of the invasion of Crete?

All the best,

Ian

Giday Jean-Yves,

Thank you for the information about the officers of the 16th Kompanie of the Luftlande Sturm Regiment.

I have some photographs of the two Leutnants. Both of them are wearing the Iron Cross first class. Could it be that one or possibly both officers had previously been members of Sturmabteilung Koch? What do you think?

I look forward to hearing from you.

All the best,

Ian

Hi Ian,

Will check "Der Blaue Komet" for more details. I suspect those 2 LTs could have come from either FJR1 or FJR2 also. As the Sturm Rgt was formed in late 1940, they drew from other FJ units to form the cadre as well as from the original Sturm Abteilung.
