Default Opinions on Panzer 5th Reserve Boards

Could I get some opinions on this set of Panzer Reserve boards? First, the braiding looks darker than normal, almost like Reichswehr boards. Second, how are the "5" attached? I see no prongs on the other side. Other than those two points, they look fine to me.

Any opinions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Mark

IMO the only thing slightly unusual about these boards is the use of the large size numerals. Typically smaller numerals are found on officers' boards. The color of the braid looks okay and that the prongs on the numerals do not go all the way through the boards is not a big deal. The prongs can be spread without going all the way through even though some think this is a sign that the numerals were applied before the boards were fully assembled. Same thing for collar skull insignia.

Agree that these Panzer straps reserve are very similar to Reichswehr straps. The figure 5 on Panzer straps also refers to the Reichswehr period. Perhaps these straps were converted from Reichswehr's early straps privately IMO.
Here is an example of Panzer straps officer reserve and digit 5 period Wehrmacht.

Thanks guys for your opinions. Much appreciated! I'm thinking they just be an early set of Panzer boards. I know I've seen this style of braiding before and they are always on early boards. The numbers do look like Reichswehr style. Not sure about the larger size.
